Kadri Karro writes about Merike Estna’s solo exhibition Voyeur
Merike Estna, an artist currently living and working in London, is a productive painter. Her solo exhibition at Hobusepea Gallery is titled Voyeur. A peeping tom, according to the dictionary, is someone with a pathological urge to spy on people engaged in sexual or other intimate behaviours, such as having intercourse or undressing themselves. Merike Estna has turned a new page in her work. The artist who used to paint bunnies and sexy girls has become a much more secret provocateur.
