The beginning of the Diverse tour. By the evening we are at the southern border of the Baltic States and now the Devil Girl is speeding at a hundred and twenty through Poland in the night, ten hours at a time. Like a screen saver, an impenetrable snowstorm is horizontally flittering across the windshield from left to right. In May? Danish co-pilot Philip is having a drink in the front seat; the rest of the crew is fast asleep. The third co-pilot is visibly fearful for his life and demands ever more toilet and smoke stops, in a panic trying to stretch the hours left towards the morning. By sunrise, 1500 kilometres have been left behind.
