The work of Maria-Kristiina Ulas is connected to the body – starting from her earlier works, which show larger than life nudes lying in jungles of bright colour. They refer to the experience of the generation for whom emotion is larger than man. It is characteristic of the generation of emotion to make art in good faith, not so much with conviction as empathy, hoping that destiny will be kind to both the creator as well as the creation.
