Katrin Kivimaa decodes Andres Tali’s exhibition Das Kapital. Kritik der politischen Ökonomie in Hobusepea Gallery, 1.–13.04. 2009
The exhibition is made up of fifteen black and white photographs that depict a dining room table with the artist sitting behind it, eating. The artist, dressed in a black suit, starts on the dish, yet in the next photo spits or throws up on the floor. In the exhibition press release, the curator of Hobusepea Gallery, Elin Kard points out that in creating the project the artist was inspired by the negative economy news of the financial and economic crisis.
