Fresh issue still on sale! "I will leave this page open, looks like it's not loading. Let me know when it's working again." – Taavi Eelmaa & InferKit, "Triaad" (4/2022)

The Estonian quarterly art magazine – edited since 2000 by Heie Treier – will be published twice yearly as a doublelength combined issue in 2009 (KUNST.EE). The editorial staff has now been extended to three members: editor-in-chief Andreas Trossek and editors Ave Randviir and Heie Treier. The magazine has a new look, and the designer Tõnu Kaalep has passed the baton on to Margus Tamm. Flipping through the first double-issue, the section Focus looks at the Estonian exhibit at the 53rd international Venice Biennale, Mark Raidpere and the Ars Fennica art award, and exhibitions of the Swedbank and Ars Fennica art awards at Kumu art museum. The next section, Theory and Practice, features a broader variety of subjects: tactical media; the legacy of Joseph Beuys and Estonian theatre; nationalism in contemporary art; the new building of the Estonian Academy of Arts; fashion; etc. The combined issue will be topped off with two ‘specials’ – thematically independent sections compiled by a guest editor and with a guest designer. First off is a magazine project edited and compiled by Anneli Porri and designed by Indrek Sirkel, which reveals the thoughts of Anneli’s students at the Estonian Academy of Arts concerning magazines in Estonia and abroad. Second is an ‘obituary’ of the Rael Artel Gallery – Non Profit Project Space by Rael Artel with designer Jaan Evart, which sums up the activities of the project space in Pärnu and Tartu.
