I Love Malmö!

The exchange exhibition I Love Malmö is the final stage of a collaborative project between Kumu Art Museum and the art museums of Turku and Malmö. Within the project, Turku presented the golden era of Finnish national art at Kumu, and in turn our socialist realism was presented to our Northern neighbours, and in the current exhibition, Malmö brought some fine examples of Northern contemporary art as well as some real superstars. The abundance of well-known names presented at the exhibition might raise the question whether our neighbours will start to overshadow each other. And the title in itself merely reveals the joy with which the curators discovered the treasures of Malmö. What about the exhibition itself? Well assembled fine art – in other words, a box of goodies.
